The Core Values that Brought Us Together
AfriKids #girlPOWER appeal really caught our eye as they are on a mission to support girls and improve their access to education in Ghana, empowering them to become the next generation of trailblazing women in STEM.
We recently collaborated with AfriKids for their ‘STEM clinic’ virtual event to support their appeal.
Suzanne, one of our co-founders, joined three of our brilliant role models, Gargi, Kerry, and Ahmya on a call with the STEM students in Ghana to introduce themselves, share their stories and participate in the Q+A.
We received such positive feedback from our role models and from AfriKids, who reported that the STEM clinic students found it really insightful and valuable.
There were high levels of engagement and honest questions asked to our role models and the girls have tons more questions to ask our STEM mentors so we hope to continue our collaboration and continue with more events
